Pretty trippy

Malo Soifua Aiga,

Sorry really not too much to report. All is going well here.

My last companion Elder Tafeaga, is done. My new comp's nae is Elder Kaiso from Sataoa, Upolu.
We now cover the Magiagi ward as well, so I have covered every ward in this Stake except for Vailele.

I am officially the king of The Apia Samoa Stake haha. I know that saying goodbyes next week is going to be really hard. I have been in this area for 7 months now.. crazy.

That's exciting for Thayne, tell him congrats. And yes I have been giving a bunch of stuff away.

I am excited to see you all.  Next week is my last P-day. Pretty trippy really.

Anyways I love you all and hope you all have a good week :)

joy and honor of serving a mission

Malo Soifua Aiga!

Its short today sorry but here is the update:

-My companion Elder Tafeaga finishes his mission this thursday so he is really happy. My new comp comes here wednesday. His name is Elder Kaiso.  But I will be finishing here in Navu so I'm stoked.

district meeting

-Tiki Masina (my recent convert from Matautu) passed away this last week. I just found out yesterday and honestly took it pretty hard. She really made my time in Matautu probably my favorite time of my mission. She was an amazing woman with an amazing story. I feel very strongly that she was one who was prepared for me and working with her was a major part of my conversion process. I am so very grateful for this Gospel and for the Plan of Salvation. While it was hard, I still know that she is in a good place. Please pray for her family.

-Logo (a guy in our ward who we do splits with) just got his call to Wellington, New Zealand Mission Samoan speaking. It was such a cool and spiritual experience to go and watch this young man open his call. A great reminder of the joy and honor of serving a mission :)

I hope all is well back home. Congrats to Kenna, Tyson, Joseph, Sam and all others graduating. That is exciting :) I love you all and I'll see you soon.

Alofa'aga,

really hoping it grows back...

Malo Soifua Aiga!

A pretty good week overall. Here is the update:

-Our baptism went through which we were excited for. Her name is Gloria Nimarota and she is 16 years old. I attached a pic so enjoy :)

-It turns out no ring worm at all. It was called Urticaria, and it was a topical allergy. Thats why the anti-fungals weren't working. I got the help that I needed and am now quite healthy and happy to be rid of it :)

-It can be hard some days to be honest. I think that I am considerably more learned in the gospel and definitely converted.

-My companion goes home next week, so I am just waiting to see who will be my last companion.

I'm stoked to have gotten the flight plans and am looking forward to the trip to Utah :)

Send my love to Will and Kenna and I hope you all have a great week :)

#PHXInternational

Malo Soifua Aiga!

Wow that was a pretty interesting update! haha Hope you all enjoy mine :
-Both of our baptisms came through and they were great experiences :) Ana and Fa'aiuga are both getting great fellow-shipping from the ward members so all is going good here :)  These people are amazing.

I love their stories personally. Fa'aiuga was the person we had fasted for to receive so that was awesome :) a definite miracle

-Nothing super exciting about the storm on this end. Sorry. I'd make up a cool story but I only have an hour to email haha

-So the office emailed last week and apparently some mold got into the air conditioner  in the room that had all of our suits. So it seems that no one will be coming home in suits....A bummer but I am seriously considering coming home in an ie faitaga. What are your thoughts???

All is going well here. I am happy and healthy and looking forward to hearing from you all on Mother's Day :)

I hope you all have a great week :)

mom Im fine.

Malo Soifua Aiga!

Well an interesting week but first off I'll just say that I'm completely safe. It was just heavy wind and rain in my area but we are all goods. Here is the update:
-The storm came and so we were told to all go in our houses at 6 pm on Saturday.
It came and went though, it really wasn't bad in my area. The following Sunday was actually really sunny. I was just laughing because my soa kept singing "Samoa Salamo!!!" (Repent Samoa) haha

-No transfer, I am officially finishing my mission in Navu. My companion finishes the 3rd and then I finish the 17th of June. Our ward is pretty stoked :)

-Elder Pearson of the Presidency of the Area came and talked to us. It was really cool and he emphasized the importance of us being agents rather than objects, as well as the importance of focus. I took some good notes and have been trying to apply it into my proselyting.

-All is going well here, I'm just ready for another week of work. We should have 2 more baptisms this week if everything works out, but I'll let you all know next week. Ana Sakalia -was referred by a ward member, Fa'aiuga - just came to church one sunday after we fasted (cool experience)

-thanks for the pics :) You all look pretty much the same except for Rian and Thayne, so tall!!!!

-Send my love to the Browns as well!

-My arm is getting better but I definitely want real medical care when I get home haha all is goods though.

I hope you all have a great week and enjoy the picture of me laying on my bed during the storm :)

My comp keeps telling me its my blood

Malo Soifua Aiga!

Well a pretty normal week here, really not as exciting as Tanner's earthquake story.
Here is the update:

-We are currently doing the review lessons for all of our recent converts. One of whom, Leala, was cracking me up the other day. He is 73 and is hilarious but he was telling me how much he enjoyed General Conference because he finally got to here from Tomasi or Thomas S. Monson.
I was dying because he was like, "Matuai sekia le fa'aSamoa o Tomasi!" (Thomas has really good Samoan) hahaha we kind of just went along with it so I'm pretty sure that all of the apostles as well as the prophet are fluent in Samoan haha it was really funny :)

-transfers are Wednesday. We are just waiting for the calls today, so we will see what happens.

- No cool animal bites. Im just trying to figure out how to get everything home. Everyone keeps giving me stuff and or promising to give me stuff. I really love the ward members here :)

-We gave talks in church yesterday. They were about 10 minutes each. Everyone said that we did a good job and I think it went well. Happy to be done with it though haha

All is going goods here, I'm just trying to figure out if I finish here or if I'm heading out. Mixed emotions because I have been here for 5 months but I really love the wards, I'll go where I need to go though.

I love you all and hope you all have a great week

Alofa'aga,
Elder Hunter

P.S.
-I've got a cool rash thing going on again on my arm. Doctor said it is either ringworm or just from the weather,  She gave me an  anti-fungal cream and an anti-hystmine in case it is an allergic thing (which I don't think it is) My comp keeps telling me its my blood, which shows his medical knowledge….

so I bought 2 new shirts because two are way old and I think may be giving me the rash...haha I just bought it in town cheaper than you all sending me a box so no worries I just wanted to let you know what that charge was :)

Sister Bike' s tire popped

Malo Soifua Aiga!

A pretty normal week, not too shabby just kinda average.

Here is the update:

-Sister Bike' s tire popped so I'm trying to switch it for a new one :) We will see though.

-We had to push a baptism back but hopefully it'll happen soon.

-Conference was fantastic! Uchtdorf was on fire haha I totally thought of Dad and his side of the family when he said, "for those of you who don't speak the Celestial language it means…" haha

-Also I loved Jeffrey R. Holland's talk and it really helped me get excited for this week of work.

No matter where we are at, Our Heavenly Father is happy with any improvement that we do make and we should always keep trying because Heaven is cheering for us.
A powerful message. :)

- Tell Haley congrats on the papers and Rian congrats on the catapult. Thayne stop growing!!! haha

All is going well here, it is just pouring rain. I hope you all have a great week though.

It is amazing here…..

As promised, me on my sister bike

Malo Soifua Aiga!

It was a pretty good week all in all. Not really too much to report. I am happy and healthy and hope that you all are as well. Here is the update:
-Yesterday was fast sunday for us. We don't get conference till this week because of the time change so don't tell me anything haha. I had a cool experience though. My companion and I have been looking for new investigators and so we decided to fast for some. It was so cool because that sunday we got a new investigator who came to church :) It just goes to show that there is power in prayer and fasting.

-We have been doing a lot of exchanges with the youth in our ward, which I have really enjoyed. My companion and I basically finish together so I is nice to give back and help guys who are preparing to serve.

-seriously it is amazing here it is going to be really hard when I go home

All is good here, I'm happy that all is going well at home. I hope you all have a great week :)

My companion made sure to harass me about it..

Malo Soifua Aiga!

A pretty busy week so here is the update:

-We had two baptisms this week which went great. Eseta Vaai and Leala Tautalaaso To'omalatai. It was a really cool experience. Eseta has been waiting for 3 years to baptized so I am grateful that it all worked out for her :)

-We have officially gotten bikes. The only thing that is lame is that mine is a sister's bike….my companion made sure to harass me about it... It makes it worse because its purple and my comps is white...it's cool.

-The Easter program went well and I really was grateful to have a way to remember the Savior this Easter :)

All is going well here. I really don't need anything but remember how you had wanted to send me a box? could you send one to another missionary for me instead? Sister Tofilau is going to be serving in the Eugene Oregon Mission. She left this week and we are really close with her family. It is really hard to send stuff from here so instead of sending me something could you send her a care package of food and stuff? Thanks so much :)

I hope you all have a great week :)

The work is going Great!

Malo Soifua Aiga!

A pretty good week all the way around. Very busy which I am grateful for :) Here is the update:

-Saturday we had the baptisms of the Nielsen family. It was such an amazing experience! The father of the family had been baptized a long time a go  but just recently decided to come back to church and bring his whole family with him. He baptized his wife and four of his children. I'm so grateful that I was able to meet them and be a part of their conversion process :).

-At the baptism, one of the lo'omatuas (old lady) smart phone went off and she tried so hard to get it to stop. It wasn't happening and finally someone went over and shut it off for her. I don't know why but it was so funny to me :)

- My health is actually great! I haven't been sick this whole transfer ( knock on wood). We are actually going to go to an Easter devotional in our ward and sing in it so it should be cool. Our songs:

-honestly I am completely fine. My ward loves us and they really spoil us. The work is going great and we get fantastic support from the members.

All is good here I'm just enjoying another P-day. I hope you all have a great week.

Malo Soifua Aiga,

A pretty normal week. Nothing really to report. A lot of rain and dirty proselyting shirts haha. But all is going good here and I am looking forward to seeing you all.

Chillin at the Church

The baptisms are all still on and the Mission President as well as his counselor will be in attendance. (no pressure). All is going good here and I'll make sure to give a longer report next week. I hope you all have a great week :)

Dang no Crosbys….

Malo Soifua Aiga,

Well not a very long report today. But here it goes:

-I did not get transferred. I am still in Navu (Vaivase itai) but Elder Wolz got transferred to Mulifanua. he became a trainer and is white-washing the area so he was freaking out a bit but I know he will do good. I'm currently with Elder Tafeaga still, but I think he may be leaving because this is his old stake.

-It was hard-out pouring this week so the work was slow, but great new is that we are currently teaching a family and they all want to get baptized! We have planned for the 19 of March so hopefully it all goes through :)

- I think the ring worm is going away.

Dang, it sounds like everything is changing back home. I'm definitely going to miss the good old Grove 2nd ward but hopefully, dang no Crosbys... I'll still see a bunch of people at my homecoming. All is going good here. I love you all and hope you have a great week.

Yeah ring worm sucks

Malo Soifua Aiga,

Just a short note today. Log on when you can, but here is the update:

-There was a hurricane in Fiji this past week. Luckily for us it didn't hit but it has been pouring rain. Below is a picture of me crossing what was a path haha.

-I think it is complete karma for harassing wrestlers in high school but I have recently gotten ring worm on my arm so that is pretty cool.  Yeah ring worm sucks. It is ok though because I got the help I needed.  I have a cream and I am watching it, if it gets worse I'll get a medication.

-We are all just waiting for the transfer calls tonight. I really want to stay here. We just got a family of 5 who all want to get baptized. Hopefully everything will work out.

All is going well here. I'm glad to here that you are all doing well, and I hope you all have a great week :)

Happy Valentines to you all.

Malo Soifua Aiga!

Well, an interesting morning so far. Our internet has been down at the chapel, so we found a store and are on a timer now so here is the update:

-first of all, happy Valentine's to you all! I hope it is a great one :)

-I just got healthy from a throat infection that lasted the whole week, so that was pretty cool. But I am very grateful to be back to work.

-I'm stoked that my Broncos won! I guess I'll just have to be in Samoa again next year, so that they can win it again :) haha Nah but my ward mission leader totally hooked me up with a sweet hat. Always gotta be supporting my team :)

The work is going good. We recently got like 10 referrals so we have a bunch of new investigators which is really good and it shows that the ward trusts us. Also for almost all of them we have a fellow shipper so we are stoked. Area is good, our transfers are the 24th so we will see what happens. Crazy to think that I have 3 1/2 more months! I'm hoping I either get transferred this one or not and finish my mission here just so I know my last area.

Anyways, all is going well, glad to here it is all goods back home. I love you all so much and hope you all have a great week.

Reunited!

Malo Soifua Aiga!

A pretty busy week with another one on the way but here is the update:

-I am currently in another trio. My new companion's name is Elder Tafeaga from Letogo. He only has 3 months left so actually really close to me. A cool guy but it'll probably only be a little bit because transfers are in 2 weeks.

-Sadly Ezekiel, our investigator will be going home today. He wasn't ready for his baptism so we sent his information over to the missionaries in New Zealand so hopefully everything works out. I'm really going to miss this guy though, and will definitely be keeping in touch.

-so crazy thing happened this week but long story short, I have my carry on bag again. I had a feeling to go check the airport because it is in my area. My bag had been sitting there for over 6 months! So grateful that I got it back :)

Anyways, it sounds like you are all doing good so I am happy to hear that :) I miss you all and hope you all have a great week!

mad at the Fiji rugby team

Malo Soifua Aiga!

Well it was quite the week. First I want to thank the McCooks for their Christmas package and I will definitely take the offer of another cabin trip :)

Thanks so much!  Here is the update:

-I started the week off with Chigen Gunia again so that was awesome. Having a rash and being way sore is actually less fun than it sounds... but I am healthy now so all is good :)

-We had a conference on Tuesday with Elder D. Todd Christofferson of the Quorum of the Twelve as well as Elder Nielson of the Seventy. It was such an amazing experience and really interesting because the whole time was spent doing a question and answer session. Pretty amazing hearing answers from an Apostle of God. I was really blown away at how peaceful I felt when he spoke. One that I'll always remember.

not all of us, but a cool picture of the intake :)

-On one visit we walked into an old lady watching the rugby 7's tournament. It was hilarious because as we came in she was as mad at the Fiji rugby team and swung at the T.V. hahaha we left but it totally made my day :)

All is going well here.I'm stoked that my Broncos are going to the Super Bowl but will be mad if they win it all when I am on an island in the middle of the ocean...just saying.

I hope all is going well for you all.

currently enjoying quite a painful rash and body. So that's cool

Malo Soifua Aiga!

Well a pretty uneventful week. Honestly time just flew by on this one. But before I get into it I would like to wish my Dad a very Happy Birthday!!! I hope it is a good one :)

Here is a very brief update:
-Apparently, after about a year the symptoms of chikungunya all come back....
So I am currently enjoying quite a painful rash and body. So that cool, but in a few months all have access to proper health care and no more mosquitoes so it's all good :)

-My companion and I made smoothies and we are very happy with ourselves.

That's really about it. Tomorrow we will have a conference with Elder D. Todd Christofferson, so we are all really excited. Regardless of my condition,

I'm going haha.

That's really it though. I hope you all have a great week.

Stay Classy,

Anytime I can find an excuse to wear my ie faitaga is a good thing.

Malo Soifua Aiga!

A very eventful week. So here is the update:
-Our baptism went through and it was awesome :) Her name is Iva and she is 17 years old. Anytime I can find an excuse to wear my ie faitaga is a good thing.

-We have a new investigator from New Zealand. His name is Ezekiel and he is Maori. Way cool guy and he already had the first four lessons done. We are planning on reviewing and finishing up his lessons this week and then we have planned for the 30th for his baptism :) He is such a stud!

-We went with Ezekiel to a devotional yesterday and the main speaker was the World renowned Heavy Weight Boxer Joseph Parker! He is L.D.S. and it was a really cool fireside. He is now ranked #3 in the world and has a fight this Saturday.

-My companion and I got some pretty solid sapelu's (machetes) and were are very excited to start doing some extra service projects with them:)

Well that is all for the update :) It sounds like all is going well at home. I'm extremely jealous of the whole National Championship thing but it's all goods...I'll get over it....haha

I hope you all have a great week :)
