Well I just typed a whole email and it just deleted....so here is my
new and shorter version :)

-We were visiting one of our less-actives this week and This little
girl was cracking me up. Her older brother's name is "Labor Day" and
she kept calling him "Labor Diaper". Which was then followed by the
cutest little giggle ever hahaha. I don't know why but this was so
funny to me, and it totally made my week.

-My year mark was pretty epic...And that is all you get to know muhahahaha :)
Upon further inquiry:
 "it tastes way better than pig honestly"

-My companion and I wore Batman and Robin socks to church and we
looked like a couple of skux deluxe haha

Thursday was so weird, seriously. I kept calling my intake and we all
just reminisced about all of our good times in the MTC. So much has
changed this past year, yet there are many things that are still the
same. 
Overall, I am very happy with how I have served my first year of
my mission. I have made some mistakes, but I have also done a lot of
good.

I made a list of all of things I want to improve on for the next
year.I plan on doing them. I have had a testimony of this church for a
long time, but by the end of my mission I promise that I will be fully
converted to this Gospel.

Improvement list

To be honest, it wasn't that eventful of a week. I do have a couple of stories though so I hope you all enjoy :) :

-We received permission to watch the New Zealand Versus Manu Samoa Rugby Match on Tuesday. It was such an awesome game! It was the first time that The All-Blacks came to play in Samoa so everyone was sporting their Blue Manu shirts. It was really cool! My All-Blacks won, but Manu played a great game. No one was very happy with me for going for the All-Blacks but I've been a fan for a long time and couldn't root against them. Plus it was fun to talk a little smack again hahaha

- I did make a list of things I want to learn/do/ and improve on for the rest of my life though. Here are a few:

-I want to be more humble/teachable

-I want to learn more stuff with fixing/managing cars

-I want to always open the car door for my wife

-I want to have a killer man-cave

-I want to travel the rest of my life especially to Brazil, Italy, New Zealand etc

-I want to serve a mission with my wife in Samoa

it is honestly way longer--and I keep adding to it

-I'm working with  a lot of Fa'amalosi Au (less-actives) But I have brought a couple of families back to church so that is as good as a baptism I reckon :) 

I just keep getting closer to the year mark and it is so weird! I keep seeing missionaries go home that I knew from the beginning of my mission, and it is crazy to think that I will be part of the older group soon...

All is going well here :) I have recovered from Dengue Fever and just looking forward to a nice P-day haha. I love you all and hope you have a great week.

Well, you all aren't going to be very happy with me, but I don't have too much to say. 

I had Dengue fever all week which surprisingly was worse than Chigun Gunia….so that was fun. 

I really missed you all for the 4th of July. We didn't really do anything very exciting. I just got over my sickness…

I just went golfing this morning though so that was fun :) I hope you all have a great week :)

One funny one, and one spiritual one.- June 29th

Such an up and down week. I have a couple of stories, but I'll share one funny one, and one spiritual one.

-The funny story happened on wednesday. We have these cookie/biscuit things called Tim Tams from New Zealand. And when you eat them with a hot cup of Milo we call it a Tim Tam Slam. Sadly, it has almost taken me a year to have one. Mostly because I'm cheap and never buy Milo. Anyways, we were on a visit and a family gave us some Milo. Earlier in the day I had bought some Tim Tams, and so it was perfect timing. However, it is rude to bring out your own food if a family gives you something. But it was the only time I could, so I had to try. I slowly started reaching into my bag, while keeping my eyes on them, and then waited for the perfect moment. Then it happened! Their kid made a bunch of noise! Just enough for them to turn away as I threw a Tim Tam in my cup of Milo. Sifi level mastered hahaha (Sneaky). I was so happy with myself :) 

-On Friday night we ate some mussels at our fafaga. Later that night, I felt my throat locking up. I kinda wanted to just put it off and go to sleep. But then there was a voice in the back of my head telling my to get some Benadryl or another Anti-hystemine. I took an allergy pill and called the mission nurse. Fortunately, I took the pill in time, because it was really tightening fast. I have had crab, lobster, and shrimp my whole life and mission, but apparently I am now allergic to Shellfish. I know for a fact that the voice in the back of my head was the Holy Ghost, and I am so very grateful that I listened to it. My testimony was strengthened this week. Don't question promptings from the Holy Ghost. It is a protector, and will guide you in times of trouble.

Papi HAPPY FATHER"S DAY!!!!! Manuia le Aso Tama!!!!

It was a pretty normal week this week, but I do have some stories so enjoy :) :

-I love the kids over here. They are so creative! 

They were showing us their "cars" the other day, which was a box that they crawled in :). I have this video and it is so funny :)

-Basically our entire island, except for us, got transferred this past tuesday…..yeah… a lot of new faces.

-A ward member gave a talk yesterday and he totally forgot to finish it…he just kind of walked off..haha everyone was laughing really hard!

-We joined our ward choir, so that has been really cool. I really feel the spirit when I sing hymns in Samoan. Their voices are way better than Palagis haha.  IDK if I'm a tenor or a bass haha my comp says Im a soprano...

A pretty mellow week. Graduation is finally over, but this week was pretty slow. 

Here is the update:

-One of our less-actives apparently is a musician. He wrote a song called "Pule i le Alii" (Authority is God's) which was an anti-gay/ anti-Obama song. Pretty interesting.

-My comp and I are staying put! The work is still the same. All less-actives. But we saw 5 at church this week, so I'm doing my job :) 

-I officially have a Fijian Seamstress. Her name is Ole and she is a super nice lady! She said that my companion and are are her kids and that she will do all of our sewing for free. Pretty awesome :)

-A lady in my ward bought a bunch of sodas on Sunday and started passing them out to all of the men wishing them a Happy Fathers day....It was pretty funny haha.

It was kind of a slow week, but I still had some stories. Everyone is graduating here so things have been a little hectic. So weird....that was just a year ago for me...time is flying! Well, here is the update:

-One of the lo'omatua's (Old lady) in my ward told asked her son at our Fafaga how he was ever going to get a wife if he didn't go on a mission...hahaha I don't know it just sounded really funny in Samoan :)

When they aren't fa'i pula or ripe they have to be skinned like that. They then boil the banana and it tastes like a potato

-We were on a visit, and when we left I couldn't find my shoe...we searched around for a good 15 minutes until we found the dog that had it....that was interesting..Luckily it is still in good shape :)

-My companion needed his pants fixed this week, so we went to one of the many Phillipino sewing shops here. To our surprise, the main seamster who we usually go to totally ran away aand is starting his own shop, out of our area....So yeah...crazy Philipino sewing shop story. Enjoy :)
