Tons of Rain

Malo Soifua Aiga!
Well, it was a pretty long week, but it was alright now. Tons of rain, seriously I thought there was going to be a flash flood.
Well, not too much has changed. Here is the update:
-My old companion Elder Aokuso is back in Samoa! They didn't change his mission so he is back out. Needless to say, I'm happy to have my son back!

-I went golfing. Yes, I said golfing. This is such a different world from my last area. haha It was really sad because my companion who has never played before was desroying me....It's all good…

-The work in the area has been about the same, but it was really cool because we invited three of our less-actives to come to church and they all came! Honestl
y it really made my Sunday.

-My companion's Birthday was yeterday. He turned 21, which is their big birthday over here so that was cool :)
And that's it…Enjoy :)

I really miss some good Size 2

Malo Soifua Aiga!

#movingupintheworld

Well, I guess I continue to disappoint you by not writing more, sorry but it was a pretty uneventful week...haha it honestly flew by. I'm trying to remember all that happened right now haha. By the way, Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad! I hope its a good one! Here is the update:

- I got a song called, "He still Loves Me." It is from the Fighting Temptations soundtrack, I it is a requirement in our house to listen to it at least thrice before I go to bed.

-My new comp is really cool. His name is Elder Tagiaia. He is really funny and has good English and Samoan, so he is really helping me with the language which has been great :)

-I miss Samoan food.....American food was nice the first couple of weeks, but now I really miss some good Size 2....(pig) and Koko Samoa…

-We visited a guy in our ward who calls himself "U.S.A" He is like in his  50's and he is soo funny! He told me the other day, and I quote, "Elder Hunter...you're a good missionary. God Bless you. God Bless your family, And God Bless AMERICA!!!"  Hahaha he said this while he was wearing his U.S Flag shirt and snap-back. I was crying hahahahaha

A cool thing that I saw this week was a personal revelation with regards to studies. The truly amazing thing about this Gospel, is that if you have a question, you can find an answer. You just have to put in the effort. I had a couple of personal questions answered for me this week, and it really helped me feel the Spirit and once again re-affirm my testimony of this Gospel.

I hope you all have a great week :)

A Modern Miracle...

Malo Soifua Aiga!

Well, this week has been interesting. First and foremost, my companion is getting transferred.
He is serving in Tafuna and my new companion is another Samoan native. His name is Elder Tagiaia from Satapuala in Upolu. He is coming tomorrow so it'll be an interesting switch. I'm a little tentative about taking over the area, but I think it'll be all good.

All is going well here. As usual my work consists of working with less-actives which has basically been my whole mission. The nice thing is that the ward members are really cool over here.

Pic of the day: The boyz

And yes I am enjoying being babied with all of these American products and the use of washing machines :)

We just had Stake Conference which was cool. It was centered on Talafaasolopito Aiga or Family History Work. We had the opportunity to bring an investigator to it and she seems interested so that was pretty neat.
It was really interesting getting to see others family genealogy.

A modern miracle....I passed by Honey the other day and totally petted her head. She didbn't bite me!!!! Granted she snapped at me two days later... but I was amazed haha :)

Well, that's about it this week. Time is going by sooo fast! Last month flew by... Well, I hope that you all have a great week :)

I'm healthy and happy

Malo Soifua Aiga,

Don't be mad but very short email this week. Nothing really happened.
My comp got sick and we stayed in basically the entire week.....
And there is the update haha.

Naw, things are going really well here. I work primarily with less-actives, but we are starting to get some new investigators. My comp and my district are really cool.

It is weird speaking in English, but some visits I do. But I am still working on my Samoan, so don't worry :)

I'm healthy and happy.

I hope you all have a great week and know that I'm praying for you all!

Dearly Loved

Malo Soifua Aiga!

Well, I'm going to first apologize because this week didn't have as
many interesting stories. I am happy to here your update however.

Thayne HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!! I hope it's a good one sole. I'm going to try and send your gift this week.

Also tell Mckenna congrats! That's very exciting.

Savaii was a completely different island. I'm really enjoying Tutuila though. It has kind of an American feel about it that is just different than what I have been used to.

I went on an exchange this week to Leone. We climbed a mountain for a visit. Nice view :)

The work has been different as well. 44% of our members came to church the other day, and that was
240 people...Needless to say a huge ward, but I work mainly with less-actives. It has been nice though with the ward support. The members that are strong, are really strong.

The funny story this week happened yesterday in church. A sister was giving her talk, and then decided to do a hymn in the middle of it. Her voice cracked every time she sang the chorus and it was one of the
funniest things ever...She was even laughing which made it ten times better hahaha.

Shout out to my boy Hunter! Soon to be Elder Jensen. You are going to do awesome in Australia man!

Thank you all for the update. I keep you all in my prayers, and want
you to know that you are all very dearly loved :)

I hope you all have a great week!
